This special ribbon cutting ceremony is more than just the presentation of two benches, it is a celebration of inclusion, kindness, and connection within our school community. The Buddy Benches are supported in part by school-level grants provided by the Durham’s Public Schools Foundation.

What Is a Buddy Bench?

National SEL Day is a nationwide celebration that highlights the importance of Social Emotional Learning, the process through which children and adults develop self awareness, self management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.
