Roost and Revelry, a fundraiser for Farmer Foodshare

A customizable night-in with multiple ways to celebrate local food, wine and music! 

In a year that has taught us how to pivot and adapt, we have reimagined our flagship Farm to Table dinner as a virtual event. So, stay home, gather your family and friends together around the kitchen table, settle into your most comfortable digs, and explore the fresh bounty of produce that North Carolina has to offer.

Farmer Foodshare nvites you to join in our virtual fundraising event Roost & Revelry ~ with three ways to engage!

• First - there's a streamed private performance by local artist, Kamara Thomas, a country soul singer and songspeller based in Durham, NC. Her multi-faceted work is rooted in the mission to amplify historically marginalized voices in Country and Americana music. Learn more about Kamara. The $25 base price covers the streamed event for one household, and also includes an entry for one of three "Shop Local" gift baskets that will be raffled off at the end of the concert.  (You must be present/streaming to win).  These baskets feature goods from Durham-based artisans and small businesses. 
• Second - Enhance your concert listening experience by purchasing a Meal Kit that includes all of the ingredients you need to whip up dinner in time to enjoy the concert.  We are proud to feature pasture-raised chicken or pork, garden-grown herbs, and a recipe all from Jireh Family Farm, which is based here in Durham. A Farmer’s Choice Mix of Haw River Mushrooms is available for a VG option. The CSA box will include local produce and dessert ingredients, (a delectable Lavender Apple Galette) along with tried and true recipes for the side dishes from Farmer Foodshare staff.  

You can purchase one box for two people which includes the meal, access to the concert and one chance to win the raffle for $100. Two boxes, the concert and two chances to win are $200, and three boxes, the concert, and three chances to win are $300. 

But wait, there's MORE! 

We’ve partnered with local distributor LouElla Wine, Beer & Beverage for a well-paired selection of Red or White wine sourced from Piedmont Wine Imports. Each bottle is $20, and you can add these on to your package when registering for the event.  

You can pick up your boxes at Farmer Foodshare on Friday, December 3rd between 4pm and 6pm, or Saturday, December 4th between 10am and 12pm. We're located at 902 N. Mangum Street, Durham, NC 27701.
