Using Your Financial Statements to Leverage Your Business, presented by SCORE

When you, as small business owners, better understand how to use your financial statements, you can greatly benefit by making more informed day-to-day management decisions and also better plan for your future. This workshop explains why you need financial statements, which financial statements are most important and useful to you as an owner, and when and how to analyze them and leverage them to the benefit of your business.

Counselor and mentor with experience in finance and accounting, general business management, and grant and contract administration. She has worked at Duke University in a managerial position and currently is the owner of a financial consulting business. She has a PhD in Sociology from University of North Carolina; she was a CPA for many years and is now inactive.
